About Simple Audio Visualizer
What Is This Tool?
Simple Audio Visualizer is a free, browser-based tool that converts any audio file into a waveform MP4 video. Upload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC, or M4A file, choose your style and colors, and download a finished video — no software installation, no account, no watermark.
Who Is It For?
- Podcasters who need a video file to publish on YouTube or social media.
- Musicians & producers who want to share a track on Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X without filming a music video.
- Content creators who produce audiograms and lyric video clips.
- Educators who use waveform visualizations to explain audio signals.
How Does It Work?
The generator runs on a web server using FFmpeg — the industry-standard open-source multimedia engine. When you upload a file, FFmpeg's showwaves filter reads the audio samples frame by frame and draws the waveform onto a video stream. The result is a standard H.264/AAC MP4 that plays on every platform.
Processing happens entirely on the server. Your browser never needs to decode audio or render video — it just uploads the file, waits, and downloads the finished MP4.
Waveform Styles
Line
A continuous, connected curve traces the audio amplitude across the frame. Classic, clean, and universally recognizable — the style used in most audio editors and music YouTube videos.
Point-to-Point (P2P)
Each sample point is plotted as an individual dot rather than connected to its neighbors. The result is a scattered, stippled waveform with a more modern or artistic feel.
Privacy
Your audio file is processed in a temporary directory on the server and permanently deleted as soon as the video has been delivered to your browser. No audio or video is ever stored, logged, or shared with third parties. See the full Privacy Policy for details.
